Why is it important for young Black men to be Gentlemen?

A Gentleman is a man of constant discipline, and that is what our community needs the most. Emphasizing discipline in the way you work, dress, carry yourself, talk to people, and serve your community is how we’ve been able to mentor young men the most effectively.

education

Education is a process of learning, acquiring knowledge, values, and virtue. It contributes to the development of better people in your community. It is more of an enduring method in which people gain information, skills, and ethics. In order to be a well rounded Gentleman, one must be not only well dressed and well traveled, but well read and spoken.
 

professionalism

Being professional can ensure a positive first impression, successful interpersonal relationships and a lasting reputation within your organization and industry. Practicing good professionalism is also practicing good manners. These are qualities that should be essential to a Gentleman.

entreprenurship

Historically, entrepreneurship has meant opportunities for equality, equity and a vehicle out of poverty for people of color. More specifically, Black entrepreneurship can fuel the black community's economic prosperity and serve as a bridge where low-income families can move up to middle and upper class status.

leadership

Leaders provide guidance, inspiration, and motivation when achieving goals. They help to create a vision and rally people around a common cause. Leaders possess the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively. The Black community desperately needs leadership, and the young Gentlemen we help mold will fill that roll.
