We had the pleasure of being featured on KOCO5 and interviewed by Mr. Jason Hackett on who we are and what we do.
Our Mission
Our mission is to uplift, encourage, and motivate young men of color in our communities by introducing them to the Gentleman’s lifestyle, culture, and fashion.
Our Vision
Our vision is to empower young men and help create opportunities for them through education, entrepreneurship, mentorship as well as assisting them in their personal development and professionalism.
Our Values
At Grand Gentlemen, we believe being a Gentleman is not defined by the clothes you wear, the money you have, or the status you achieve. A suit may create a positive first impression, but character is what leaves a lasting one. What truly defines a Gentleman are the values he lives by and the way he treats others.
Our organization is built upon three core values: Respect, Discipline, and Character. Respect means treating yourself, others, and your community with dignity. Discipline is the ability to remain committed to your goals, responsibilities, and personal growth even when challenges arise. Character is doing the right thing when no one is watching and maintaining integrity in both words and actions.
These values serve as the foundation of leadership, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and service. They guide how we conduct ourselves, how we engage with our communities, and how we pursue success. At Grand Gentlemen, we use style and presentation as tools for confidence and self-expression, but it is Respect, Discipline, and Character that transform a young man into a Gentleman.
Our Motto
“A Gentleman is a Man of The People!”
Our “WHY"
The way we dress reflects the pride we take in ourselves. The way we carry ourselves sets the standard for the next generation. The way we serve our communities reveals our character. We believe image has power, and we are committed to presenting a vision of Black manhood rooted in excellence, leadership, service, and purpose.
Our Story
Grand Gentlemen was founded in 2014 with a simple objective: to create positive images of young Black men and boys and provide them with the values, mentorship, and resources needed to succeed. At a time when negative portrayals often dominated the media, we sought to highlight leadership, excellence, character, and achievement while inspiring young men to see greater possibilities for themselves.
As support for our message grew, we recognized that representation alone was not enough. Our community needed action. What began as a social media movement evolved into a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating tangible impact throughout Oklahoma City. Today, Grand Gentlemen invests directly in young people and families through school-based Tie Days, leadership programs, back-to-school drives, winter coat drives, suit drives, scholarships, mentorship, and community outreach initiatives.
Through our Man of the Year and Leading Lady Scholarship Programs, recipients receive financial assistance for college, trade school, or entrepreneurship, along with a custom-designed business suit and ongoing mentorship. We believe mentorship and resources are powerful tools for creating opportunity. By investing in education, entrepreneurship, professionalism, and leadership, we help equip young people with the confidence, skills, and support necessary to achieve their goals, strengthen their communities, and build successful futures.
