Spooky Sundays đź‘ą- The Silence of the Lambs (1991)

THIS WEEK’S FEATURE
          PRESENTATION:
The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Here at Grand Gentlemen, nothing is more important to us
than “family time”. Which is why at least once, every week,
we loosen our ties and unwind for a wild voyage into the
great world of cinema.
This week, my friends... was no different.
For this week’s Feature Presentation, we watched a 90’s
horror classic: The Silence of the Lambs, directed by
Jonathan Demme.
In this twisted tale of pure madness, FBI trainee Clarice
Sterling (played by Jodie Foster) is tasked with capturing
a raging serial killer by the name of “Buffalo Bill” –
using profiling advice given to her by another murdering
maniac, Hannibal Lecture (played by Sir Anthony Hopkins).
Through horrifying and sometimes chilling interviews with
Hannibal, Clarice learns a handful of clues that could
possibly lead her to the whereabouts of a senator’s
daughter who has been kidnapped by “Bill”.
The craziest thing about this movie is that not only does
poor little Clarice have to worry about Bill, who has been
running around killing and skinning poor innocent women...
but she also has to wonder if Hannibal is playing her the
entire time just for a chance for freedom.
This movie is suspenseful and chilling all the way down to
its bloody end with Jodie Foster embodying the very spirit
of the caterpillar blossoming into the beautiful butterfly.
The Silence of the Lambs has gone down as one of the most
timeless of horror films, yes... but the brilliant
performances of Jodie Foster and the great Sir Anthony
Hopkins should never in life go unappreciated.
Bravo,
